The Coshocton Public Library will celebrate the Holidays by hosting a special Open House. The library will remain open on Friday, November 17th from 5:00-6:30 p.m. for guests to enjoy cookies, punch, crafts, and Rudolph! Plus, the Miracle on Main Street Parade route passes by the library located on the corner of Main and 7th. You will be in the right place for all of the evenings offerings!
Sixteen participants will race for the title of 1st place in this Mario Kart 8 Tournament for the Ninetendo WiiU. Three rounds, four people per round, no CPU, all items, four races per round, with total points being recorded at the end of the round. After three rounds, the total of each player's points across each round will be recorded. The top four play in the grand finals. If a tie results in the 4th spot, it will be settled with a time trial on a random map.

Jeweler Jeff DeRan from Dean's Jewelry of Coshocton & Mt. Vernon will share his love of gemstones in a sparkling hour. You'll learn what it takes to work in the jewelry industry, how gemstones are mined, and even get an up-close look at the "rocks". This program is part of the 2018 Summer Reading Theme: Libraries Rock.

Have you heard of the "cup game"? It's a collaborative approach of using rhythm to make music.
We will start with the basics of "tapping cups", then build our skills towards a program wide tapping experience. This program will provide many laughs as we work together towards our end goal of the ultimate rhythm experience. This program is part of the 2018 Summer Reading Program- Libraries Rock.

An after-hours local author signing and book talk will occur throughout the library building the first Thursday in November in celebration of National Author Day. Participants will have the opportunity to speak with local authors, listen to the author presentations, purchase books, and collect autographs. Personal copies of previously purchased books are permitted.
