Services

General Services:
The Coshocton County Library system offers a wide variety of books, eBooks, audiobooks, videos, DVDs, games, kits, magazines, and Internet service. 

Reserves:
The Coshocton County District Library is a member of the SEO (Serving Every Ohioan) Consortium, comprised of 100 library systems at 286 physical locations. This gives patrons access to over 8.1 million materials. If a particular title is not available through SEO, the library will conduct a world-wide search and have the item shipped to the library if possible. These services are free to any library cardholder, and the items are delivered to the library for pick-up.

Notifications:
Any library patron may request to receive library notices via e-mail, text or telephone. The member's information is put on file, and the library will e-mail or text regarding any overdue books, upcoming due dates, or if an item that has been requested has arrived.  

Reference:
Reference librarians are available during business hours to assist with your educational, recreational, and information needs. Reference staff can be reached by visiting the reference desk, calling 740-622-0956 or 740-545-6672, or by email at info@coshoctonlibrary.org

Bookmobile:
The Coshocton County District Library offers a Bookmobile that travels to schools, including Amish schools, and even to home-bound residents. To request the Bookmobile to stop at your school or business, please call the library at 740-622-0956.

Renewals:
Patrons may renew their books online or by calling the library. Library materials can be renewed up to four times unless the item is on hold for someone else.

Returns:
Items borrowed can be returned to the Main Library in Coshocton, the West Lafayette Branch Library, or to any other library in the SEO consortium, including Holmes County District Public Library, Licking County Library, Newcomerstown Public Library, Tuscarawas County Public Library, and many others. An after-hours drop-off box for books and a drop box for audio-visual materials can be found outside of the Main Library in Coshocton and the West Lafayette Branch Library.

Library Cards:
Residents must apply for a library card in person. Photo identification and verification of your current address are needed.

E-Cards:
E-cards can be applied for online and allow 24/7 access to all the library's digital resources.

Homebound:
If you are homebound and would like reading material from the library, call and request assistance. You may pick genres you are interested in reading, and books within those genres will be delivered to you at no cost.

Programming:
A variety of diverse programming is offered for all ages. For more information, call the library, subscribe to the e-newsletter, or view the Events Calendar

Printing:
Black ink photocopies can be made for a fee of $0.10 per copy. In addition, files can be printed from public computers for $0.10 per page with black ink or $0.20 per page with colored ink. There is an additional sales tax charge for printing from public computers. The same prices apply to mobile printing.

Faxing:
Fax service is available at the West Lafayette Branch location for $1.00 per page. Fax service is not available at the Main Library at this time. 

Internet/Computers:
The Main Library in Coshocton currently offers public internet computers for adults on the main floor and internet computers for children in the Children's Room. For visitors to the Local History/Genealogy Room, there are internet computers provided for research purposes. The library also offers catalog-only computers for patrons to check their library accounts, search for items, and place holds.

The West Lafayette Branch Library offers internet computers and one catalog-only computer that can be set up for internet use during busy times. 

Public wireless access is available at both locations during business hours.

Meeting Rooms: 
The Main Library in Coshocton offers a small conference room and a larger meeting room for public use. Rooms can be reserved by non-profit groups and individuals. For more information regarding the library's meeting rooms, please see the Meeting Room Usage Policy.

Voter Registration:
Ohio Voter Registration forms are available for free at the Coshocton County District Library and West Lafayette Branch Library. Reference assistance is available at both libraries.
