Lapsit

Join us each week for Lapsit! There is one session a week at the Branch Library (every Tuesday at 10 AM) and two sessions at the Main Library (every Wednesday at 10 AM and every Thursday at 1 PM). All three programs for the week have the same content.

From the comfort of caregivers' laps, babies and toddlers can develop early literacy skills at the library. Storytimes include music, rhyming, movement, songs, and stories. Each week, babies and toddlers can explore sensory centers, parachute play, the simplest of crafts and activities, and engage in socialization with others. If a child is 3 years old, the caregiver may determine if Lapsit or Preschool Storytime is more appropriate.

Preschool Storytime

Join us each week for Preschool Storytime! There is one session a week at the Branch Library (every Tuesday at 11 AM) and two sessions at the Main Library (every Wednesday at 11 AM and every Thursday at 2 PM). All three programs for the week have the same content.

Each week, we will have a theme and children can work on developing early literacy skills by reading, writing, talking, singing, and playing at the library. Preschool Storytime also helps children develop social skills, such as self-regulation and peer interaction. Children can build a foundation of school-readiness skills to help with future success. If a child is 3 years old, the caregiver may determine if Lapsit or Preschool Storytime is more appropriate.
