GOSPEL Screening

Adults are invited to join the Library and WOUB Public Media for a 30-minute exclusive look at the upcoming release of GOSPEL, a new four-hour docuseries that explores the rich history of Black spirituality through sermon and song from executive producer, host, and writer, Professor Henry Louis Gates, Jr. 

Following the screening, our guest speaker, Philip Tabler, will present on the influence music had on African Americans in pre-civil rights America. Philip Tabler is the Music Department Chair at Valor Christian College, as well as a board-certified music therapist.
