Tween and Teen Night @ the Branch
Tween and Teens: Join us on the third Thursday of each month from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the West Lafayette Branch to play Jackbox, board games, create art, and enjoy snacks and pop! Registration is required and ends two days before the event takes place.
Coffee Chat for Readers
Adults are invited to the West Lafayette Branch for a Coffee Chat program held bi-monthly on the 2nd Wednesday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. New and bestselling fiction and non-fiction books will be featured with hot coffee and tea. This Reader's Advisory program will help you decide what to read next. Andrea Schweitzer Smith, Branch Manager, will host the lively book talk. You won't want to miss this opportunity to get New Leads on Great Reads!
Story Times:
Offered on Tuesday mornings (February, March, September, October and November)
- Lapsit (ages 0-3) - 10:00 AM - 10:30 AM
From the comfort of a caregiver's lap, babies and toddlers are given the chance of developing early literacy skills together at the library. Utilizing music, rhyming, movement, and song (all in a fun package) fosters a love of books and reading. Exploring sensory bins, parachute play, and the simplest of crafts offers opportunities for non-threatening socialization.
- Letterland (ages 3-6) - 11:00 AM - 11:30 AM
Join us each week for our Preschool Storytime as we travel to a place called Letterland. We will meet engaging letter characters, read theme-related stories and sing songs, learn rhymes, do arts and crafts and many other fun activities. Preschool Storytime also helps children develop many social skills, such as self-regulation and peer interaction.
