June’s destination is Mexico. “Thyme” to Learn About Herbs JUNE 17 | 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM Coshocton County Library – Large Meeting Room Join Julia Brown, operator of A Simply Thyme in Fresno, to learn about herbology. Brown will discuss cooking with herbs, which herbs should be planted in the garden, and her new cookbook A Simpler Thyme in the Kitchen. “Bookmarked” Book Club “Bookmarked” is a book discussion program exploring fiction and non-fiction titles. Participants may choose either the Main Library or Coshocton Senior Center to attend book club meetings. Copies of selected titles are available to borrow at the Main Library one month prior to each meeting date. The library is a food distribution site this summer for Children’s Hunger Alliance, an Ohio agency of the USDA. Children ages 0 to 18 (or their caregiver) may pick up five free non-perishable breakfast meals and five non-perishable lunch meals to take home with them. No registration or information is required. Summer Reading Program MAY 29 – JULY 25 Participate in the 2024 Summer Reading Program for a chance to win a prize! The more you read, the more entries you will earn! Annual Book Sale Find bargains on thousands of books, movies, magazines, and more at the annual Friends of the Library Book Sale from August 1-3. Thursday, August 1 | 10 AM – 5 PM Friday, August 2 | 10 AM – 5 PM Saturday, August 3 | 10 AM – 1 PM A Silent Auction will be held for books of higher value and specialty items. The items will displayed at the library in the weeks leading up to the Annual Sale and then at the Sale. Winners will be notified on Saturday, August 3. Books Galore Book Store Operated by Friends of the Library volunteers, the Books Galore Book Store has gently-used books, DVDs and more for sale at rock-bottom prices. The store is located in the basement of the Coshocton County Library and open every Monday (3-6 PM) and every Wednesday & Saturday (10 AM-1 PM). Bags for the Book Store Please consider bringing your own tote bag or plastic bag when shopping in the Books Galore Book Store. If you have extra plastic bags to donate, that is most appreciated.
