Suffragist Hike Walking Group

Suffragist Hike Walking Groupsuffragist hike

2nd Thursday of each month | 10:30 AM - 11:00 AM (meet at Coshocton Public Library)
4th Thursday of each month | 5:00 PM - 5:30 PM (meet at West Lafayette Branch Library)

In 1913, a group of extraordinary women "hiked" 230 miles from New York City to Washington
D.C. Against all odds, in frigid winter weather, these women headed for Washington D.C. with
one goal in mind: a federal amendment guaranteeing women the right to vote.

In reverence to these women and their hard-fought battle, the Coshocton Public Library System welcomes YOU to join a community walking challenge! Our community goal is to log 230 miles of walking activity each month from March to September.

Beanstack logoAttendees will log one mile of light, city walking. Miles walked in this walking group count toward our community goal. Track your walking activity by picking up a log at the library or logging it digitally through Beanstack: coshoctonbeanstack.org

Walking groups are weather-dependent. Cancellations due to inclement weather will be posted on the Coshocton Public Library Facebook page. Participants are encouraged to dress weather-appropriate and wear comfortable walking shoes.
