Keeping up with technology can be difficult and we want you to know that we are here to help! If you have limited knowledge of computers and the internet, Lifelong Learning: Digital Edition, might be just what you need.
Through a partnership with the Coshocton Senior Center, Lifelong Learning: Digital Edition is available for local seniors who have limited knowledge and experience with computers and the internet. This program offers four sessions over a six-week period, with each session focusing on a different aspect of technology.
1. Computer Basics - Tuesday, March 12, 2019
Computer terminology; desktop elements; starting up and shutting down; creating, saving, and accessing files; creating folders and renaming folders.
2. Internet Basics - Tuesday, March 26, 2019
Internet terminology; web browsers and URL's, search tools and tips; and internet safety.
3. Cybersecurity Basics - Tuesday, April 9, 2019
Viruses; antivirus software, secondary defense systems, and firewalls; web browser safety and browser extensions for privacy; passwords; safe internet, browser, and email use.
4.) File Management Basics - Tuesday, April 23, 2019
All sessions will be held at the Coshocton Senior Center, 201 Browns Lane, Coshocton, OH 43812.
Registration is required and can be completed by calling the Coshocton Senior Center at (740) 622-4852.
Each session is limited to ten (10) participants. Participants are encouraged to register and attend all sessions.
