Storytimes

Lapsit | 10 AM - 10:30 AM

Tuesdays @ the West Lafayette Branch
Wednesdays @ the Coshocton County District Library
Thursdays @ the Coshocton County District Library

Join us each week for Lapsit! There is one session a week at the Branch and two sessions at the Main Library. All three programs for the week have the same content. This program is part of an 8 week series. It will take place in the Large Meeting Room of the Coshocton County District Library every Wednesday from February 7 through March 27 at 10:00am. You only need to register once for the entire series.

From the comfort of caregivers laps, babies and toddlers can develop early literacy skills at the library. Storytimes include music, rhyming, movement, songs, and stories. Each week babies and toddlers can explore sensory centers, parachute play, the simplest of crafts and activities, and engage in socialization with others.

If a child is 3 years old, the caregiver may determine if Lapsit or Preschool Storytime is more appropriate.

Registration is required. Please do a group registration with the total number of children and adults attending so we can make sure there is enough space for everyone.

Each week will have a theme and children can work on developing early literacy skills by reading, writing, talking, singing, and playing at the library. Preschool Storytime also helps children develop social skills, such as self-regulation and peer interaction. Children can build a foundation of school readiness skills to help with future success.
