This program is designed for seniors committed to lifelong learning who want to advance their knowledge and skills related to technology. Split into four (4) sessions, with each session focusing on different aspects of technology, this program is ideal for seniors who have limited experience with technology.
1. Computer Basics - Tuesday, October 8, 2019
Computer terminology; desktop elements; starting up and shutting down; creating, saving, and accessing files; creating folders and renaming folders.
2. Internet Basics - Tuesday, October 15, 2019
Internet terminology; web browsers and URL's, search tools and tips; and internet safety.
3. Cybersecurity Basics - Tuesday, October 22, 2019
Viruses; antivirus software, secondary defense systems, and firewalls; web browser safety and browser extensions for privacy; passwords; safe internet, browser, and email use.
4.) File Management Basics - Tuesday, October 29, 2019
All sessions will be held at the Coshocton County Senior Center, 201 Browns Lane, Coshocton, OH 43812.
