Library Reopened

The Coshocton Public Library and West Lafayette Branch are now reopened to the public during normal, library hours with guidelines and restrictions in place. The first hour is reserved for the vulnerable demographic: 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Coshocton Public Library and 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the West Lafayette Branch.

Due to restrictions in place by the Ohio Department of Health, the library is limiting the number of people inside to 25 (Coshocton) and 5 (West Lafayette Branch). Time spent inside is limited to a maximum of 30 minutes. Minors under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Returns are not being accepted inside the library building. All returns should be placed in the designated outdoor drop boxes. Please, no donations until further notice.

Patrons are encouraged to wear face masks and wash hands regularly while inside the library. Please stay home when not feeling well. Plexi-glass has been installed at customer service desks. Please stay behind the shields. Signage and floor markings have been strategically placed to encourage social distancing. Patrons are asked to limit touching only the items they plan to take home.

A limited number of computers are available in order to keep six feet of distance in between patrons. Computer usage is limited to one 30-minute session a day. Microfilm reader usage is also limited to one 30-minute session a day.

Newspapers may be borrowed one at a time and taken outside to read on library property while practicing social distancing. After finished reading, the newspaper should be placed in the outdoor book drop box.

Should you wish to have library items brought to you outside, please call the library to make arrangements. Meeting room usage will not be available until further notice. Library programming will continue virtually.
