# Featured Art Exhibit An art exhibit is featured monthly at the West Lafayette Branch by area artists. Stop by the Branch Library during regular hours to view the exhibit. MARCH ARTIST: Debbie Haines APRIL ARTIST: Jessica Rohr MAY ARTIST: Lynn Fraelich Lapsit (through 3/28) Tuesdays | 10-10:30 AM | Branch Library From the comfort of a caregiver’s lap, babies and toddlers are given the chance of developing early literacy and sensory skills at the library through stories, music, rhyming, movement, crafts, and more. Preschool Storytime (through 3/28) Tuesdays | 11:00-11:30 AM | Branch Library To build a foundation of school readiness skills, children will learn letters, read stories, sing songs, learn rhymes, make crafts, and develop social skills. Coffee Chat for Readers MARCH 13, MAY 8 | 9-10:00 AM | Branch Library This bi-monthly Reader’s Advisory program for adults features new and best-selling fiction books. Hot coffee, tea and light refreshments are provided. Water Party MARCH 21 | 5-6 PM | Branch Library Children and teens are invited to an indoor water party with water-themed activities and games. COSI Lunch and Learn boxes with water-related STEM activities will be provided for each participant. Drop in any time during the event, but please register. Tween & Teen Time @ the Branch THIRD THURSDAYS | 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM West Lafayette Branch Library Join us on the third Thursday of each month at the Branch Library for a special activity or craft. MARCH 21: Water Party | 5-6 PM APRIL 18: Spring Ceramics | 5-6 PM MAY 16: Wooden Signs | 5-6 PM Once in a Lifetime APRIL 4 | 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM | Branch Library For the first time in 200 years, Ohio will experience a total eclipse of the sun! Bring the family and learn all about this amazing wonder then create a solar eclipse viewing box to use on April 8. Certified solar eclipse viewing glasses will also be distributed. Messy Day MAY 21 | 5:30-6:30 PM | Branch Reading Shelter Children (ages 0-12) are welcome to join us for painting, bubbles, chalk, and more! Registration is not required for this drop-in program. Summer Reading Program Mark your calendar! The 2024 Summer Reading Program kicks off on May 30. This year’s theme is “Adventure Begins at Your Library.” As always, special programs, activities, and prize opportunities will be available for all ages!
